Welcome on our web page !
Soon we will have been together for 11 years. Our first web site fell by the way side as our lives got too busy. Now we have retired and have moved to our house at Brulis, a small hamlet not far from the sea. In the French fashion, we have named our house “Ours”. In French this means “bear”, and because of Mona's Cherokee heritage, and the obvious English meaning of the ours, it felt like the perfect Franco-American name. With more time on our hands, we hope to be able to share a small part of our lives with friends and family via this site.
Over the years we have found that life can be difficult when you have an American and a Frenchman living together in the same house. Not only are there language problems, but also those around culture and habits. Even now with global communication, there still exists misunderstanding and ignorance of other cultures. We hope that you will enjoy sharing a part of our lives and will learn something at the same time.
